I have been directly connected, employed and designed for the internet since the very early days. I have gone through the internet start-up process three times, twice starting with a few people in a room with big ideas and lots of talent, to going public and having multiple offices around the globe. I have taught at Art Center College of Design and worked with, and for more than a few world renown Designers. I cannot sing or play a musical instrument, but have been nominated for a Grammy (for Art Direction).

Comedy Central, Apps & Sites that make you laugh.

At Comedy Central I am in charge of the Digital Design Department, I oversee, design and plan the design for all the channel's shows, sites and apps. Since my tenure at Comedy Central I have Designed and launched new sites and Apps for The Daily Show With Jon Stewart, The Colbert Report, @Midnight, Workaholics, Tosh.0, Broad City, Inside Amy Schumer, Trip Tank, Review, Kroll Show, Key and Peele, Drunk History, Brickleberry, Nathan For You and various Stand-Up Specials.
The Comedy Central App that allows Users to view and share their favorite shows.

The Daily, a News App that goes to #1

At The Daily, I was part of the original team that designed, built and launched The Daily, the first stand alone news App for the iPad. After launch in February 2010 I helped staff the Design Department of 3 shifts of Designers to cover the news-cycle 24/7. After launch I took over running Design and Production for the Sports Section of The Daily for 9 months, now I work with the Advertising team and liaison with outside agencies/vendors and direct / build ads for the App. The daily is now the 3rd highest grossing App in the App Store and number 1 in Newstand.







Grandparents are so much cooler than you'll ever be, for reals.

At Grandparents.com, I designed and implemented an entirely different design language to the site resulting in better user experiences, deeper engagement, lower bounce rates and more effective advertising. I redesigned the site from top to bottom - quickly and cost effectively. My mentorship of the creative team produced a creative department capable of being creative directors in their own right. My time at Grandparents.com has lead me to a thorough understanding of our audience and the way it interacts online, this enabled me to conceive and execute a complete site redesign that helped dramatically grow the audience, page views, and time spent on site while diminishing the bounce rate.

At Oddcast I built business by concepting ideas for clients and following through with design work that resulted in sales. By designing for the various Oddcast technologies, I would invent new ways of displaying and showing how and what it could do. My job was always to make the complex technology seem transparent to the end user.

While at S3 my responsibilities included leading the Creative Department. This included voicing the Creative Department’s group vision, its needs, and its views to management and the rest of the company. Perform administrative aspects for the dept. such as performance reviews, project resourcing, hiring, recruiting, utilization, and purchasing. Plan and pave the path for the individual Designers career paths. Work on billable projects, oversee and foster critiques for all other projects.
