At Rare Medium NYC I was part of the original core employees that launched the company from a few people in a one room office, to having 9 locations across the country with over 1,000 employees and going public. I was the Director of Visual Design. My responsibilities included overseeing 23 Visual Designers. Web based interface design, strategic and conceptual development of fortune 1000 sites through development and delivery. Represent the Dept. at large and its individuals. Perform administrative aspects for the dept. such as performance reviews, project resourcing, hiring, recruiting, utilization, and purchasing. Plan and pave the path for the individual Designers career paths. Work on billable projects and oversee and foster critiques for all other projects.
